DANCE THEATRE OF DREAMS
DTD is a pre-professional dance company whose members are ages 11 – 17 and join by audition. DTD dancers travel to the UNCSA Festival of Dance every year and receive professional instruction from resident Teaching Artists as well as professional dance instructors from all over the world.
Dance Theater of DREAMS members, Nevaeh & Malonie, have been invited to attend the summer intensive dance program at University of North Carolina School of the Arts!
This is a HUGE opportunity for them to grow stronger in their craft and to make connections that will last them a lifetime! With the collective power of our community we can certainly raise the $10,000 it will take to make this a reality for them!

Our Misson
The mission of the Dance Theatre of DREAMS is to provide high quality, pre-professional dance instruction with performance and educational principles of inclusion, community building and self-confidence. Through discipline, self-expression, and exposure to the arts, dancers are given the tools to achieve their goals.
HOW WE STARTED
DTD was founded in December 2016 by Anne Firmender, Kevin Lee Y Green and Lesa Broadhead. They felt the need for a dance company within DREAMS to help retain older students ages 11-18 years old. This would ensure advancement of the dancers’ technique and personal growth through dance. DTD gives students professional performance opportunities and experience across the state of North Carolina. In May of 2017 auditions were held for the first performance season of DTD.
HOW ITS GOING NOW
DTD is now in its 6th performance season, and they are continuing to foster youth development through dance. The size of the dance company continues to grow as well as the performance opportunities they have been able to provide the dancers.
